About this work
The personification of Wisdom (Sapientia), with a mirror in her hand around which two snakes are coiled. She sits on a throne and reads a book titled Truth (Veritas). Above her head flies the Holy Spirit as a dove. Wisdom tramples the personification of Human Confusion (Caligo Humana), a woman with a blindfold and a broken staff, tripped over a globe with the name Fame (Vana Gloria).
