New Year's wish for Archduke Matthias, from the provosts of Antwerp for the year 1580. Allegory with Justice and Peace embracing each other, at their feet symbols of war. On the left David with the head of Goliath, on the right Judith with the head of Holofernes. At the top in a cartouche a text of 6 lines in Latin, at the bottom 2 verses of 2 and 9 lines each in Dutch and French.
