Triumphal arch erected for the entrance to the Oudburg, decorated with historical and allegorical scenes and figures. With two depictions of the Oudburg, the old castle presumably founded by Julius Caesar, and a coat of arms at the top. Plate no. 39 in a set of 42 plates illustrating the publication describing the entry of Cardinal-Infant Ferdinand of Austria into Ghent on 28 January 1635 as the new Governor-General of the Spanish Netherlands.
