About this work
Sixth print in a series of eight depictions of the life of Johan and Cornelis de Witt. All prints are by Gaspar Bouttats and have a verse of four or two lines. The depiction shows the mutilation of the bodies of the De Witt brothers by the citizens of The Hague, 20 August 1672.
