About this work
Seventh print in a series of eight depictions of the life of Johan and Cornelis de Witt. All prints are by Gaspar Bouttats and have a verse of four or two lines. In the depiction it can be seen how parts of the bodies of the De Witt brothers are sold and eaten, 20 August 1672.
