About this work

Warning against litigation. A young woman presents her case to a lawyer in his office. In the case, several other clients are waiting. In the caption, four verses of four lines in French for La Damoisel, L'Advocat, La Bourgeoise and Le Garcon. On the sheet below the print, a Dutch poem in three columns about Mine and Thine, warning against the money-devouring litigation.
