About this work
Allegorical monument for the Amsterdam burgomaster Hendrik Danielsz. Hooft, on the occasion of his defense of the patriotic interests in the council on February 26, 1787. Portrait medallion on a pedestal, crowned with a wreath by Liberty, on the left draped with three putti holding oak leaves around the coat of arms of Hooft. At the top the All-Seeing Eye radiating.
