About this work

Frame on a pedestal with the title and text in Italian and Dutch, crowned by the allegorical figure of Fame (Fama) and flanked by the allegorical figures of Drawing (Disegno) and Labour (Labore). Fame holds a laurel wreath in her right hand and rests her left arm on a cornucopia. Drawing holds a magnifying glass in his left hand and a compass in his right hand. Labour with a spade, digging in the earth. Below the pedestal two lines in Dutch.
