About this work
The sixth angel blows on the trumpet. Next to the angel sits God the Father on his throne and stands the golden altar with the four horns from which a voice comes ordering that the four angels who are imprisoned must be released. The angels and the riders on horses with lion heads wipe out a third of humanity. In the margin a four-line inscription in Latin. Eleventh print from a series of twenty-four with the Revelation of John on Patmos.
