About this work

The sixth angel blows his trumpet. Next to the angel sits God the Father on his throne and the golden altar with four horns from which a voice issues, ordering that the four angels who are imprisoned must be released. The angels and the riders on horseback with lion heads destroy a third of mankind. Below the image a Latin reference to the biblical text in Rev. 9:15. This print is part of an album.
