About this work

Bust portrait of Adolff de Mey. Bottom right: 94. The portrait is set in an oval frame with the sitter's coat of arms and a Latin border inscription. On the frame, a dove with an olive branch and an owl. The frame is flanked by statues of Apollo and Hercules. In the foreground, their attributes. In the cartouche, a five-line Latin inscription. Print from a series of portraits after paintings by Anselmus van Hulle of all delegates at the peace negotiations in Münster and Osnabrück.
