The funeral service. The priest holds up the Holy Sacrament. To the right in the background an angel rescues a soul from purgatory. In the foreground to the left the coffin under a cloth, to the right kneeling men. Print no. 16 from the series of 16 scenes of The Miracle of Amsterdam, based on the events of 15 March 1345. Copies after the series by Bolswert. Below the scene in the plate is engraved a six-line verse in Latin, beneath which is a six-line verse in book type in Dutch.
