About this work
Capture of Diest by the States' army under the Spanish captain Alonso Vanegas, 9 June 1580. The city gate towards Zichem is opened so that the States' cavalry can enter, on the right soldiers climb the city walls with ladders. With a caption of 12 lines in German and 2 lines in French. Incorrectly stated on the print that the city of Diest was captured by the French in May 1580. Numbered 165 in the lower left. The print is part of an album.
