Grotesque and extensive satirical print on the Roman Catholic Church, ca. 1560. Left panel of a triptych. The personification of the Gospel pulls aside the curtain and illuminates with a torch the spectacle in the interior of a Catholic church where various grotesque and deformed people and monsters attend mass. Near the Gospel are personifications of Grace, Mercy, Election, and a little girl Faith. In the foreground a procession. With a caption of 3 columns of 3 lines each in Latin. The representation contains inscriptions in Dutch. The legend for the numbers in the representation is missing.
