About this work

In the background Tobit buries the body of the murdered man, who was found by Tobias on the street. After the burial Tobit falls asleep on some sacks of grain against the wall of his house. One of the birds in the nest above his head lets bird droppings fall on Tobit's eyes, causing him to go blind.
