About this work
Capture of the German soldiers outside Antwerp, on the orders of Count Alberik van Ladron, who had earlier been held hostage by these soldiers, September 1570. The German mercenaries are surrounded by Spanish troops. In the background the city of Antwerp with, on the left, a small scene of the execution of some soldiers in the citadel. With a four-line Latin inscription. Numbered: 26. Printed on the reverse with Latin text.
