About this work

Reproduction of the print with the alliance between Liedekercke, Roeck and Bourse to capture the Citadel of Antwerp, 1 August 1577. Interior scene where the three men take an oath. On the left, Fides (Fiducia) and Caritas (Charitas); in the clouds, the triumphal chariot of Venus. Depiction in a round medallion with an ornamental allegorical frame, with the seated female personifications of Tribulatio (Tribulation) and Pietas (Piety) at the top. At the bottom, a cartouche with two verses of six lines each in French and Dutch.
