About this work
Sheet with two depictions in one plate. Under the beginning of the siege of Antwerp in July 1584. The Duke of Parma drives the first spade into the ground. Above the Duke of Parma is knighted on Fort Kallo in the Order of the Golden Fleece, 11 August 1585, as a reward for the surrender of the city of Antwerp. Bottom right a cartouche with the title and the legend A-O in French.
