About this work

Monument erected in honor of Johann Baptista von Tassis by his son, who fell during the siege of Bonn on 26 April and was buried in Cologne on 12 May 1588. Plaque with a painting of Tassis with John the Baptist kneeling before the crucifix. At the top a plaque with a Latin inscription and decorated with allegorical figures of virtues.
