About this work

Map of the siege and capture of Geertruidenberg by the States Army under Prince Maurice, 28 March–26 June 1593. Upper of two sheets with the Biesbos on the left and the town of Waspik (Waesbeeck) at the top, with the positions of the Spanish army under Peter Ernst, Count of Mansfeld. Top left a cartouche with allegorical figures Love (Charitas) and Faith (Fidelitas) and coats of arms and an inscription of nine lines and below a verse of four lines in Latin.
