Copy of the print of the whale (sperm whale) stranded on 2 February 1598 on the beach at Berckhey between Katwijk and Scheveningen as the whale stranded at Ancona in Italy on 25 February 1601. With many visitors on the beach, in the foreground some horsemen, behind the animal a procession of people and wagons, right the sea. With an inscription of three lines in Italian. Mirror-image copy after the original by Jacob Matham.
