About this work

Arrival of Archduke Ernst on the Grote Markt in Antwerp, part of the description of the entry of Archduke Ernst in Antwerp, 18 July 1594. This representation was first interpreted by Muller as bonfires and fireworks on the Grote Markt to celebrate the Twelve Years' Truce in Antwerp, 14 April 1609.
