Allegorical representation of the happy state of the Republic of the United Netherlands in the year 1603. On the left and right a row of statesmen and soldiers. In the center the three pillars of Justice (Justitia), Religion (Religio) and Politics (Politia) and the Holland Maiden sitting on the foundation of Christ. To the left of this a statue of Love, where the liberal arts are practiced, a palm tree with the coat of arms of the Union of the Arrow Bundles of the seven provinces. On the right resting farmers, the pruned sprouting Orange tree with the coats of arms of Maurice and Frederick Henry and a statue of Prudence (Prudentia). In the radiant heavenly clouds the hand of God, the dove of the Holy Spirit, putti, Fame and Father Time. In the background an extensive landscape with trade, livestock farming, agriculture and shipping.
