Bird's-eye view map of the Duchy of Jülich during the Jülich-Cleves Succession Crisis in 1614. Long strings of troops in motion between the cities. In the middle the Rhine, to the right the Meuse. In the foreground Mars crawls out of his grave in the mountain named Treves (Twelve Years' Truce), with the text: "Spand vrij de trom, Siet toe ick kom."
