About this work

Triumphal arch in the form of a temple with a dome and twelve columns. Centrally a coat of arms trophy, in the pediment the crowned W with the inscription 'To the Saviour of the Netherlands' below. Erected in front of the Town Hall on the Dam. Illustration of the decorations set up for the visit of the Prince and Princess of Orange to Amsterdam on 19 September 1816.
