About this work

Triumphal arch in the form of a temple with dome and twelve columns. Central military trophy, in the tympanum the crowned W with below the inscription 'To the Saviour of the Netherlands'. Erected in front of the Town Hall on the Dam. Accompanied by a text fragment with a description of the decoration. Illustrations of the decorations erected during the visit of the Prince and Princess of Orange to Amsterdam on 19 September 1816.
