About this work

Allegory on the ratification of the Peace of Nijmegen between the Republic and France on September 20, 1678. The Dutch Maiden seated in the Dutch Garden under the Orange Tree with a spear and liberty cap, leaning on the Bible. The railing is decorated with English roses and French lilies. On either side, a four-line verse. Accompanied by a text sheet.
