Allegory on the capture of 's-Hertogenbosch by Frederick Henry on 17 September 1629. On a stage, Stadtholder Frederick Henry is married by Bishop Ophovius to the maiden of 's-Hertogenbosch. Behind the maiden stands Governor van Grobbendonck, as the father of the bride. The columns on either side of the stage are decorated with armor and medallions with earlier military conquests under the stadtholder's policy. At the top hangs a cloth with a map of the siege of 's-Hertogenbosch. On the left, portraits of Palatine Frederick of Bohemia, Frederick Henry, and Ernst Casimir; on the right, portraits of their spouses. Entirely printed from three plates.
