The fleet of Johan Maurits, Count of Nassau-Siegen, sailing out to Brazil, October 1636. Ships at sea, with Den Helder visible in the distance to the left. A winged scroll in the sky bearing the title and the winged coat of arms of Johan Maurits. The legend explains the letters A-F in Latin. Plate [no. 5] in a series of 55 depictions of the journey to and the stay in Brazil of Count Johan Maurits of Nassau in the years 1636-1644.
