The marriage of Prince William II and Princess Mary Stuart, 2 May 1641. On the left the parents of the bride: the English King Charles I and his wife Henrietta Maria. On the right the parents of the groom: Frederick Henry and Amalia of Solms. In the background allegorical figures of Love and Hope (left) and Faith (right) and the Dutch Lion in the Dutch Garden. Above the couple the dove of the Holy Spirit and putti with laurel wreaths. Marked bottom right: Second Part Fol. 87.
