Departure of the Spanish garrison from Hulst, 1645. Hulst, besieged by the States Army under Frederik Hendrik from September 28 and captured on November 5, 1645. Composition consisting of two sheets. In the foreground, to the left by the city wall, Frederik Hendrik with his son Prince Willem II observing the departing soldiers. In the procession, foot soldiers, the carriage of the Spanish governor Mouscron, riders, and wagons. In the background, various forts.
