Departure of the Spanish garrison from Hulst (left sheet), 1645. Hulst, besieged by the States Army under Frederik Hendrik from September 28 and captured on November 5, 1645. Left sheet in a composition consisting of two sheets. In the foreground, to the left by the city wall, Frederik Hendrik with his son Prince Willem II observing the departing soldiers. In the procession, foot soldiers and the carriage of the Spanish governor Mouscron. In the background, various forts.
