About this work
Sheet with an old plate depicting the appearance of God's avenging angel to King David, with the victims of the three-day plague imposed by God in the background. The old plate numbered: 45. Printed on the sheet below the plate is a text interpreting the plague raging in Amsterdam in the months of July to December 1654 as a punishment from God. With a list of the dead per month in Amsterdam and in Leiden. With some Bible quotations.
