Allegory on the appointment of Prince William IV as stadtholder of the Republic, May 1747. William IV in a triumphal chariot drawn by the Dutch Lion enters the Dutch Garden, accompanied by Minerva, Liberty and Prudence. In the sky Fame and Mercury, on the right Truth in the clouds, on the foreground and background cheering inhabitants. On the sheet below the plate the explanation of the numbers 1-8 and a four-line verse.
