About this work

Ornamental border with a panel at the top containing eight Italian verses. Below, a scene from Canto XVII of Tasso's 'Jerusalem Delivered'. Rinaldo stands in the forest before seven nymphs with musical instruments. In the background, a battle takes place. The Archangel Michael and other angels hover above the fighting armies.
