About this work

Satirical print on English Quakers, ca. 1656. Gathering of English men and women in the costume of the Quakers in a barn, listening to the sermon of a woman standing on an overturned barrel. Above in a cabinet cats are meowing, on the right a dog is urinating against the skirt of a woman. In the caption two verses in Dutch and English mocking the Quakers.
