About this work

Two depictions of an interior with a person suffering from a form of epilepsy or madness, interpreted as possession or witchcraft. Top: a man lying on the floor. Bottom: the man is blindfolded and whipped in an attempt to drive out the spirit. Numbered: 10 and 11.
