About this work
Three remarkable events in Amsterdam in the year 1664. At the top, a plate with three scenes: on the left, a view of the Dam with the Palace and New Church, showing the burial of the plague victims; in the center, the comet or tail-star above the city as seen from the Dam; on the right, broken and blown-down trees along a canal. Below the plates, descriptions and verses on the events are printed in three columns.
