About this work
The mad or wonderful ship of Rotterdam, designed by Jean Duson (here mentioned as 'le Sieur de Lisson'), 1653. Tightly planked rhomboid wooden ship with a paddle wheel or screw in the middle. With a cross-section and a depiction of how the ship rams other ships at sea and sinks them. Under the plate on the sheet two descriptions of the ship are printed in two columns, in Dutch and French.
