Demonstration of the use of hose fire pumps by pumping water from a well and spraying it over the tower of the Cathedral of Our Lady in Antwerp (ca. 1670-1680). In the foreground the extinguishing of a fire in a house on the square. In a cartouche the explanation of the letters A-D in Dutch. Above the plate a second plate with text is printed. Plate 25 in the reprint of the Fire Pump Book by Jan van der Heyden from 1735.
