Expedition to Chatham and the capture of the island of Sheppey, 1667

Sheet with two central depictions and on both sides six small scenes 1-6 of the events during the Raid on Chatham. At the top the destruction of the English fleet on 20 June 1667 by the States' fleet under Michiel Adriaenszoon de Ruyter, with a portrait of Willem Joseph Baron van Ghendt. Below a depiction of the conquest of the island of Sheppey with the fort and magazine at Sheerness by the troops of Colonel Dolman. At the bottom a description of the events in 4 columns with here the legends for the central plates 1-24 and 1-16 and the side plate A-CC in Dutch. The three scenes 4-6 on the right side printed on a separate loose sheet.
