About this work
The Austrian eagle attacks the Münster boar. From the rear of the pig flows a stream with the names of recaptured cities such as Coevorden and Steenwijk. The Dutch Lion attacks the Cologne donkey. In the background, William III watches standing between Liberty and Piety; in the distance, Cologne. With an inscription of 2 verses of 4 lines. Print no. 4 in a series of six allegories on the war with France and the German bishops in the years 1672-1674, based on the oration by Professor L. Wolfogen on his dream and its explanation given at the University of Amsterdam on January 11, 1674.
