About this work

The French Royal standard with a radiant sun, captured at the Battle of Seneffe on 11 July 1674 between the allied Spanish, Imperial, and States troops under William III on one side and the French under the Prince of Condé on the other. The standard was presented in Brussels in September to the Duke of Villahermosa. With a sonnet in French and an epigram and time verse in Latin.
