Inauguration of a new Bentvueghel, ca. 1700. In the midst of the group members, a new member of the bentvogels, the group of Dutch artists in Rome, is initiated in the dark with a kneeling handover of the bent letter and baptism with wine. With drawn caricatures on the wall, in the background a drinking party. In the caption, 4 lines of Latin, 8 lines in Dutch, and 4 lines in French.
