About this work
Satirical print on a Mennonite wedding. A large room where all guests at a wedding feast are struck by acute diarrhea, with all the consequences thereof. At the front left of the table (no. 1) the culprit who put the purgative beans in the food. In the foreground a lady lifts her overskirt, to the right three men on a tub. In the legend 1-27, mentioning Menno Simons, Jan van Leiden and Bernard Knipperdollinck. The plate cut off at the top.
