Allegorical representation in which the doors of the Temple of Janus are closed by the Pope, Emperor Joseph I and Peace with a branch of peace and palm in their hands, and King Louis XIV lying on the ground. Inscriptions and verses in the plate in Dutch. Part of a series titled Vorstelyke Staat-Balans with 7 satirical prints (plus variants) on the French from the year 1709 of the War of the Spanish Succession.
