Siege and capture by the allies of the cities Tournai (Doornik) and Mons (Bergen), the broken peace negotiations in The Hague, and an allegory on these broken peace negotiations in the form of the race between Atalanta and Hippomenes. With inscriptions and a verse in Dutch. Part of a series titled Vorstelyke Staat-Balans with 7 satirical prints (plus variants) on the French from the year 1709 of the War of the Spanish Succession.
