About this work
The forging of heads, 1705. In a smithy the head of Theodorus de Cock is worked on by three smiths, including Petrus Codde (the Coddige Smid), with hammers so that a rooster comes out of the head. On the grounds heads of the Pope and of a Jesuit. Sheet no. 7 in the series of 13 sheets with caricatures on the Jesuits titled Roma Pertubata, 1707. Part of the print work published under the collective title 't Lust-Hof van Momus with the bound series of caricatures during the years 1701-1713 of the War of the Spanish Succession.
