About this work
Map of Lille (Rijssel) and the castle, besieged from 22 August. The city was taken by the Allies under Prince Eugene of Savoy and Prince John William Friso on 23 October 1708, the castle on 8 December. With inscriptions in Dutch and Latin. Fragment of a large plate with nine depictions of events from the year 1708 of the War of the Spanish Succession.
