About this work

Large map of the Battle of Höchstädt (Battle of Blenheim) on 13 August 1704, where the Allies under the Duke of Marlborough and the Prince of Savoy achieved a victory over the French and Bavarian troops. In the upper left, an allegorical vignette with Mars freeing himself from his chains, with the portrait of Marlborough. In the upper right, a cartouche with a list of the Allied armies, decorated with allegorical figures of Victory, Father Time, the Dutch Lion, and the British Unicorn. At the bottom, the explanation of letters A–Z in English.
